MEAL PREP

Being prepared is pretty much the most important thing about living a healthy lifestyle. If your food is not prepared then you prepare to fail. 😲😲😲😲Before meal prepping, I would grab whatever I found at the store and of course its not always easy to pick something healthy outside when you've got a bunch of temptations around you. Fast food was always cheap to grab, but it is alot cheaper to prepare your meals than it is to buy something every time!! That money adds up!

Im pretty simple:

-Chicken diced up
-sweet potato (or rice) (i typically just microwaved it for 5-7 minutes)
-boiled eggs!!!! easy protein on the go
-veggie egg muffins if you want to get fancyπŸ˜‡

Meals for me were pretty quick (i hate refridgerating things id rather eat them super fresh):
every morning id cook oats for a minute and a half with water, add berries, throw it in a to go cup and done!!! Of course on the weekends I had more time to sit and eat peacefully without rushing out the door. Thats when I made protein pancakes my favvv πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

PROTEIN PANCAKES:

1/2 cup oats
1 whole egg
1 egg white
protein powder
water to mix

super easy 123!! MY fav!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Of course with herbalife tea to give me energy in the morning!

Exercise is only a small portion of success when it comes to fitness. The main battle is making sure you eat super clean and how do you do that?😬😬😬 By preparing your meals in advanced and always making sure you've snacks available.

I like to keep my meals as easy as 123! Or quick less than 5 minute meals in the morning like the oats in a cup, or grab som waffles and boiled eggs done!!!! πŸ˜‡

Also snacks are very important to keep the metabolism going. πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠMy favorites are yogurt, of course fruits are the easiest to grab, quest bars are the best, and boiled eggs!!!πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

For lunch I always just grabbed some of the chicken that I prepared for the week and put my salads in a container with dressing on the side. πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒSeriously this took less than 2 minutes! Its just that simple. You can do it in the morning or the night before, regardless it doesnt take long to just stuff lettuce and chicken in a container. 😏

Grocery List

Keep in mind that is is MY grocery list and simply everything that only I like to eat! It may seem a little limited for many, but of course there's much more that can be added to this list. However, if it is not on my grocery list its either because I don't like it or don't like to spend time preparing it and therefore don't eat it. With that being said, this is MY grocery list and what I personally like. It's really not that interesting and I like to keep things simple.

Skincare Routine

went through some time where my skin was breaking out horribly in 2014. Granted, I never had clear skin to begin anyway during my teenage years. I went through a lot of changes, I had graduated college and moved states, so all that change took a toll on my skin. My skin was so bumpy and disgusting. I felt like I had to cover up with makeup, which just ended up looking cakey. Gross! πŸ˜₯ I felt like a horrible monster. I just wanted to hide.

Then, my sister told me to use Proactiv Plus. I really didnt think it was going to work given that their original line dried my skin out like crazy, however no other duane reade products were working so I figured I had nothing to lose. (Always good to have that money back guarantee). Well as you can see, it worked wonders for me. I can leave the house without makeup and my skin is one less thing to worry about!!!

NO makeup!!

As you all know its a 3 step system, cleanse, tone, and moisturize. To be honest, I hardly ever use the mask because my skin is already clear enough lol but sometimes ill use it as a spot treatment. Love it!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I dont sell proactiv by any means, just sharinf what worked for me!!

Favorite Oatmeal 123 go

This is actually my typical breakfast and I love it so much because it gives me energy as well keep me full for a good 3 hours. I dont have much time in the morning to eat breakfast, so I make this in less than 2 minutes, put in a disposal cup and grab a plastic spoon. I pretty much eat this on the go. (Of course you could use containers if you dont want to waste plastic cups, but I like it when clean up is 123)

1/2 cup oats (40grams)
little soymilk/almond milk just to moisten
1/2 cup blueberries/strawberries whatever you like!
and 1 tsp of almond butter
Sometimes i add goji berries... :)

I find with this it doesnt need any extra
sweetners, but you could always use truvia

About me
"This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're going to fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will? Life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about."-Marilyn Monroe

This quote has always meant a lot to me and it's something that I apply to my daily life. I'm not afraid to make mistakes because I'll just end up learning from them. I've always wanted to be one of those people who saw everything in a positive light, never quit, and always strived for more. I intend to be that person and hopefully inspire others to do the same.

I have a 3 year old son named George aka georgie, who I had at the age of 21 while still in college full time to become a school teacher and working part time. I had a lot on my plate, but Ive always been a determined person and once I set my mind on something I go for it. He really is my little bundle of joy and brings light to my life. I used to think that having a child while I was still in school would hold me back, but it was actually the opposite! Because of him, I pushed harder and I would always try to be a better person because I know that someone depends on me.
For me, my absolute favorite program is 21 Day Fix, although my favorite trainer is tony horton because hes so bada$$ and he's hilarious to watch. Autumn Calabrese has my dream body that is my goal. Figures I should do her program then lol.

Back in highschool, I used to workout with my cousin all the time (so nutrition wasn't new to me, I knew a lot about meal prepping and healthy eating lifestyle, but by the time I got to college I felt I was "too busy.") He started talking to me about p90x, but he was too afraid to try it and didn't have the money for it. I was obviously skeptical (seriously, a DVD workout? who does that?) So I did some research on it and saw tons of transformation videos on youtube, which I thought were incredible! So I ordered it and was excited to start! Turns out I only lasted a week lol. It was way too difficult for me and I gave up on it 3 times! Just couldn't do it. Til this day, I have that dvd sitting in my closet πŸ˜₯. I feel kind of bad that I never completed it, like a failure. But after learning about their different programs, I became a beachbody fan and started drinking Shakeology.  Maybe after I've completed a few beachbody programs and feel bada$$ enough, I'd complete P90x πŸ˜‰ For now, I'm sticking to one of my favorite trainers (aside from Tony Horton) Autumn Calabrese. Her body is amazing= goal body.

So I admit, Ive never been one to gain more than a few pounds or even gain over 118-125lbs. Ive always had a fast metabolism and because I could "get away with it," I took advantage and ate anything I wanted. Id "splurge" everyday eating all kinds of crappy food because I was "lucky" enough to not gain any weight, but sooner or later it was going to catch up to me and I knew it. Maybe I didnt pay the price of my poor eating habits with my weight, but I sure did suffer the consequences of crappy eating with my energy and fitness levels. Poor nutrition made me lazy, I had frequent headaches, no energy to play with my son or run after him etc. I had no energy to do fun things and enjoy life so I was pretty much antisocial due to my lack of energy. For someone who always says "life's too short, so you have to enjoy it," I sure wasn't living up to that. I was also terribly out of shape (yes yes, even though I was a skinny girl- that doesn't mean anything). Walking up a flight of stairs made me run out of breath for example the stairs at the subway station, walking at a faster pace than about 2.5 mph also didnt go well for me (check that out on a treadmill, that was pretty much my comfortable speed, but then again whose isn't??). Id be walking with a group of people and be the only one left behind, yet everyone thought I was in "shape," simply because I was skinny, or "skinny fat," as I like to call it (you know, skinny all over with a big belly pooch.) Reality was that I hated coming home from work and feeling tired. I hated feeling tired on the weekends and just wanted to feel more energized; be more fit. I hated coming home from work to cook dinner, clean, then spend time with my son because I was just too tired and it took a lot of energy from me, not to mention I made things worst by not eating right or exercising. Having more energy and getting fit was the only way that I could devote time to my son, the only way Id chase him around, play with him, have energy to cook, get the house cleaned, take my son out to fun places, and just have the boost I needed to do my role as a mother as well as enjoy life. On top of that, I was ALWAYS getting sick somehow. I probably had a weak immune system because my diet was crap. Id get sore throats often, headaches, body aches and earaches. I knew that if I wanted to make a change, I would have to start eating the right foods to fuel my weak body and push myself to exercise/get fit because no one really loves exercising lol. Its more of a habit you have to build.

Fitness isnt easy. Noone likes to workout (at least not that I think so) it's more of a necesity than a fun activity, but clearly you got to make it fun! I believe you can do anything you set your mind to. Everything takes time, but more importantly, commitment.
